I don't know about you, but I didn't see any figures in the smoke of the "monster" on Lost last night. Apparently there were many. I looked again, and I guess I can kinda make them out when the image is tinkered with...it's kind've a stretch though.
So the monster is some kind of neural scanner? Checks to see if you're evil or not? That's why the other's keep the kids? I have no idea.

Did you see the Dharma tattoo on the shark in the previous episode?
"What Kate Did" had a shark in it? I don't remember a shark anywhere in the whole series.
Dude, you need a DVR cause there are some pretty amazing things to see in the smoke...
