Wednesday, August 31

What a boring, boring, boring week this is turning out to be.

Mmmmm.... Fudge Stripes...

Monday, August 29

IRS Commissioner Mark Emerson yesterday said, "Accountants and attorneys should be the pillars of our system of taxation, not the architects of its circumvention."

Wait, what's my job again? I thought the whole purpose of accountants was to lower tax liability...

Sunday, August 28

I loved, loved, loved my weekend. My seats were great and those penguins were cute as crap.

Weekend Tally:

852: miles driven
2: homeruns hit (by Brewers)
1: games won by Braves
$3.25: amount spent on 1 bottle of Aquafina
40: blocks driven in one direction without a single sit down restaurant
4: different keycards issued to me by the front desk
10: MPH over the speed limit
2: times I forgot the tickets
1: times I got lost in downtown Milwaukee

Friday, August 26

I forgot the damn tickets at home. Luckily I was able to print them off here, so no worries.

Got my second speeding ticket yesterday. The crappy part of it was that a guy going west flashed his lights at me. I slowed down and looked for a cop, but couldn't see one. So I sped back up. Boom. Flashing lights. Oh well, I guess I didn't need that $90.

Monday, August 22

I have had an EXTREMELY busy last couple days. Or at least it feels like that. Everybody is moved in and comfortable. Classes today were quick, but left me feeling uneasy. It always seems like an impossible amount of work to get done in a short amount of time.

Soon it will be Christmas.

Friday, August 19

My phone is destroyed. Completely. If you need to get ahold of me, email or IM me. I'm never that far.

Wednesday, August 17

Jean's place is much, much nicer than mine. I'm kinda jealous, but I guess I know if my place was that nice I'd probably screw it up pretty good. Overall, the weekend was great. Lots of good food and Jean.

We saw March of the Penguins today. It was very cute, but the kid behind me was CONSTANTLY asking his Grandma what was going on. I asked Jean if we could move, but she didn't think that would be polite.

Saturday, August 13

We finally finished! We bought and poured the resin tonight (3 packages @ $27/piece!!) and it was gooey as hell. It says it'll take at least 72 hours for a "hard cure" so we're looking forward to having our foot rest back on Wednesday.

The class is finished and I am three credits and an A richer. Thanks, Dad. Every single dollar matters. Thanks.

Thursday, August 11

I bought 4 of my 5 textbooks online. I spent $260 on textbooks that would've cost me $481 at the bookstore. That makes me very, very happy.

Tuesday, August 9

Whelp, I just paid $37.99 to ensure that Aqua Teen Hamburger Source would have a home for the next two years. I guess we all have that to look forward to.

It is once again, hotter than an armpit in my room. Please, please make it cool down. My computer sounds like a Howitzer when it's hot.

Monday, August 8

Stellar weekend but a lot less swimming than I had anticipated. Also, grilling with charcoal is a LOT harder than it looks. We got 'er down though. That old chicken was not eaten, but it stunk up the house pretty good even hours after it was dumpster'ed.

And then there were 3.

Friday, August 5

Yesterday was perfect. Got off work at 2, played 3 sets of tennis, then collapsed on the couch for 2 hours of America's Funniest Videos and the Braves game. That show is seriously the best thing to happen to TV.

On deck for tonight? Swimming in a hotel pool and a dinner with Jean's parents. I keep having to repeat in my head, "No fart jokes, no fart jokes." See, that stuff flies with my parents. Oh well.

Thursday, August 4

My head can breathe again. I'm sure they cut off at least one pound of hair. It's so much shorter now. These pictures don't do it justice. Oh Wow!

So admire away, world.

Wednesday, August 3

The man came today to fix the oven and I think he did a good job. I smelled the left rear burner ( the one that was leaking) on the way out this morning and it seemed fine!

In other news, I finally cracked the 2000 visitor mark for one day at mcpeepants.com yesterday. That's compared to an enormous 25 visitors a day here. I'm not saying I don't appreciate it, but we need to find 1975 more people to read this site daily.

Also, in case there are any statistics nerds out there like me, the running total for visitors to my Aqua Teen site is 127,538.

Tuesday, August 2

I got a raise today, retroactive to July 18th. It wasn't a small raise, it was a 50% raise. I figure I used to make $80 in 8 hours, but now I'll only have to work a little over 5 hours to make the same thing. This either means I have all afternoons off, or I'm one rich guy.

Please comment and congratulate me.

Monday, August 1

That episode of Laguna was a total waste.

Eggroll's out, time for Mark and Will to move in.
